I’ve been spending the day working on the comick, No Outlet, that me and k.t. have been working on for years now. The first issue will be done pretty soon and I’ll post the first couple pages here. For now, some random panels taken completely out of context and without word bubbles:

This morning I wasn’t quite awake yet and I knocked over a cup of coffee off the counter before I even got a sip, narrowly missing my crotch. I knew it wasn’t gonna be my day.
I was at work and the weather looked like it was gonna turn bad so I decided I should take the garbage out before it started raining. As soon as I opened the back door, it was already sprinkling. The wind was a’blowing. I went over to the dumpster and grabbed the plastic hinged lid-thing and attempted to flip it over and behind as it is supposed to do. The wind was working against me and I scraped the shit out of my hand on the dumpster. It was a pretty deep cut and it bled quite a bit. I threw the trash and junk out and went back inside.
I grabbed the Polaroid camera out of the office, usually reserved for taking pictures of shoplifters and the like and snapped a few photos before I cleaned the cut up. They didn’t turn out well:

k.t. has the camera with her in Costa Rica so when I got home I did a scan of it. It really doesn’t look that bad. Just another wound on my gnarly hands. Oh well.

With my girlfriend gone there were a couple things I had planned on doing. One was do a daily update schedule on this here blog-thing (which I already effed up). Two was sit down for however long it took and finally finish Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which I’ve been working on for a couple months an hour or three at a time. I beat it and there was some cursing involved, which brings us to today’s little picture. Mew doesn’t like yelling. Or the faces I make when I do.

It’s funny how I can totally sleep through our cat Mew’s whining and scratching for food, I’m the heaviest sleeper of like ever. My girlfriend gets woken up way early whenever the cat decides she wants to eat. Since poor Mew is stuck with just me for the next week or so, she gets to wait.

My girlfriend left for Costa Rica on a two-week trip for school yesterday. Me and the cat left to fend for ourselves. I’m gonna try to keep a little visual diary of the crap that’s going on here when she’s gone like I did the last time she left. Mew is definitely taking it pretty hard as the picture above shows.
I got around to doing the Doodle Sheet 4 exercise over at the excellent illustrationclass.com. You download a .pdf of random shapes and interpret them as you see fit. I think it turned out okay.
