Robots
So I have this new job. I’m pretty anti-social and I’m new, so on my lunch breaks I kinda sit by myself in the break room and draw when I’m done eating. Here’s some crappy pen sketches I did last week:
Yep. I’m on a bit of a robot kick lately. I have a cup full of pens, markers and such near the computer here and every once and a while I go through it and make sure they work and stuff. I drew this robot guy here using all of them.
After seeing quite a few time-lapse drawing videos on the old YouTube there, I decided I should try one. This is just a little test video I did of a lame robot. I used our digital still camera so the quality isn’t all that great and with how I set it up, I actually had to draw upside down. It’s okay I guess. Let me know if I should do more. Also: If anybody wants an Mp3 of the song or the font at the beginning, both of which I made, let me know as well.

So I pulled an overnight shift at work Monday/Tuesday. I got all my work done, but I had to hang around with the floor cleaning crew. I’m glad I brought my sketchbook:
And then my boss showed up to relieve me. I wouldn’t say that me being super-tired made my drawings worse per se, but they definitely got weirder. I did get to sleep about 7-ish this morning. I feel a lot better after sleeping all day.
An old picture unearthed in a box of art I’m scanning and digitizing for the website. I did this one in 1999 I think.

A seriously damaged Mega Man. I was way into Mega Man when I was younger. Mega Man 2 being a personal favorite. It had the best soundtrack of ever.
There are several music groups that cover Mega Man and other video game tunes. Two of the best are the Minibosses and The Advantage. Check them out if you haven’t already.
This weeks Illustration Friday is Robot. More like an android this is.It started out kinda like Megaman. It started sucking, so I cyborged him a little bit. (Cyborged?) I’ll probably do another one if I have the time.
